Impressive speech. He's certainly charismatic. I enjoyed it a lot.

One man's insurgent is another man's freedom fighter though.

War is the last, saddest tool of diplomacy. But it is a tool, and for some situations, it's the only one that works. Unfortunate, but true.

Not every state is governed rationally or by persons willingly reasonable. War is not the tool of choice for free democracies, but it is the language dictatorships and oppressive regimes understand. It is a mistake for decent, law-abiding, modern Western nations to think that every other nation is just like them. Some nations need a helping hand, some need a firm one. Some need the back of a hand, and a few need a hard, closed fist.

People who say "violence never solved anything" are ignorant of history and human nature. They see violence as untenable, not as the "last resort", and are not prepared to deal with those for whom violence and threat of it is always the favored option.

What a load of Piss. Go and read 1984, you might learn something about terror. Instead of invading countries, killing civillians and expecting them to help you, why not do something worthwhile like sort out your economy.
Oh and "anyone who fights America will lose," Tell that to North Viet Nam.
